Cole Dominates Athletics

Gerrit Cole continued his impressive start to the season on Tuesday night, tossing seven shutout innings against the Athletics in a 4-2 Yankees victory. Cole allowed just four hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters.

Cole has now allowed just one earned run in his first three starts of the season, lowering his ERA to 0.33. He has also struck out 30 batters in 19 innings pitched.

Yanks Win Despite Struggles

The Yankees offense struggled to generate much offense against Athletics starter Paul Blackburn, but they were able to scratch across four runs on six hits.

Giancarlo Stanton hit a solo home run in the first inning to give the Yankees an early lead, and Aaron Judge added a two-run double in the fourth inning.

Bullpen Holds on for Win

The Yankees bullpen was able to hold on for the win despite allowing two runs in the eighth inning.

Aroldis Chapman allowed a two-run home run to Matt Olson, but he was able to get the final three outs of the inning to secure the win.

Cole Continues to Impress

Cole's performance on Tuesday night was another reminder of why he is one of the best pitchers in baseball.

He has now allowed just one earned run in his first three starts of the season, and he has struck out 30 batters in 19 innings pitched.

The Yankees will need Cole to continue to pitch at a high level if they want to contend for a World Series title this season.
