Three Teenagers Killed, One Injured
Authorities in Garland, Texas have arrested the alleged getaway driver in connection with the 2021 convenience store shooting that claimed the lives of three teenagers. The man, whose name has not been released, is accused of assisting his teenage son, who allegedly opened fire at the store, killing three people and injuring another.
The 14-year-old suspect, whose name has also been withheld, was arrested on Monday and is now in custody. Police responded to the scene at a suburban store in Garland at approximately 7:30 pm on the day of the shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered four male victims inside the store, one of whom was in critical condition.
According to an arrest affidavit, police believe that the 14-year-old suspect entered the store and began shooting indiscriminately, killing the three victims. The getaway driver, his father, allegedly waited outside in a vehicle before fleeing the scene with his son. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
