QUALIFYING FOR THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX: START TIME AND SCHEDULE
March 5th, 2023
Qualifying for the 2023 Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix will take place at 5pm Bahrain time on Saturday, March 4th. This equates to 6pm CST, 7pm EST, and 12am CET.
The qualifying session will consist of three parts. In the first part, all 20 drivers will take to the track for a 18-minute session. The top 15 drivers will then progress to the second part, which will be a 15-minute session. The top 10 drivers from the second part will then progress to the final part, which will be a 12-minute session. The driver who sets the fastest lap time in the final part will claim pole position for the race.
Max Verstappen is the defending champion of the Bahrain Grand Prix. He will be looking to start the 2023 season with a win. However, he will face stiff competition from the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, and Charles Leclerc.
